Strava is an app that sits on most smartphones (like an iPhone) and lets you track you route and how many miles you’ve covered. It has its detractors and can encourage reckless riding, as people try to better their times and those of other people who have ridden parts of the same route. However let’s focus on the positve and look at this as a great training tool.
There are other options out there for doing a similar job, but Strava has proven to the best option in terms of route detail and the way it works on the phone. Certainly battery drain has proven to less of an issue with Strava than other apps.
